Auction description stated:

"This car is a rare example of the second series of 1500cc cars. The 'S' designation denotes a short chassis and uprated twin cam engine. Very few are known to exist and certainly none in this condition. 0211433 has only had two owners from new, first a Sicilian Baron, who reputedly used the car to do local hillclimb events until selling the car to the Moretti Brothers (Italian car collectors and Alfa archivists) in the early 1950's."

Historical significance

[edit]

The 6C 1500 S represents the short-chassis sporting derivative of the second-series 1500. Surviving examples with documented early Italian ownership are comparatively rare.

Registry classification
