Historical notes

James Young, based in Bromley, was among the British coachbuilders producing high-quality bodies for imported chassis during the late 1920s and early 1930s. The firm's work on Alfa Romeo 1500 and 1750 chassis is considered among the more elegant British interpretations of Italian sporting design.

The car was transferred from the United Kingdom to Sweden in the late 1960s. It was subsequently acquired by a Dutch trader and later sold into private ownership in the Netherlands, where it was registered at the time of the 2011 Bonhams sale.

Current configuration

The car is finished in red with black leather interior and matching hood.
