Libyan and American history

In 1958 it was sold in Tripoli to Captain Henderson. Period photographs and Libyan documentation are recorded.

The car later moved to the United States, including ownership in Indiana.

In circa 1969–1970 it passed through dealer John Delamater and was traded to Luigi Chinetti in exchange for a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 (Daytona). The transaction is described in Brock Yates’ book Cannonball.

In 1978 Chinetti sold the car to Dan Marguiles (UK).

  • Mr Bayliss (UK; Mille Miglia Retrospectives)
  • Sold via Martin Chisholm (2004)
